The ACT-FAST is a large vessel occlusion triage tool used to screen for EVT eligibility. This screening tool is being used by hospitals across southeastern Ontario to guide decision making for triaging patients arriving in the ED between 6-24 hours from stroke symptom onset. In order to help operationalize the implementation of the ACT-FAST, the Ontario Regional Acute Stroke Best Practice Coordinators Group assisted in the development of an ACT-FAST educational resource. This resource includes a slide deck which provides background on EVT, changes in acute stroke care management, and an overview of the ACT-FAST. Also included are complimentary ACT-FAST case study videos. The slide deck can be contextualized to local settings to support the teaching and ongoing educational refreshers of the ACT-FAST.
