The Regional and KHSC Stroke Teams are pleased to warmly welcome Jennifer Holliday as our new part time Stroke Specialist Case Manager. Jennifer is just completing her orientation to the role and will work closely with Anne Dubé, full time Stroke Specialist Case Manager and with the full stroke team. Jennifer’s nursing career began in 2004 with a nursing diploma from St Lawrence College in Kingston. In 2018, she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Francis Xavier University.Jennifer brings over 15 years of nursing expertise at KHSC to this role, most recently as Charge Nurse in the Davies 4 ICU from 2015 onward. Jennifer’s work on Davies 4 has included critical care with neurology and neurosurgical experience including daily work with stroke patients after receiving tPA and EVT. Jennifer also worked for a period as a Care Coordinator for Home and Community Care bringing added valuable knowledge of case management and community connections to this role.As Charge Nurse, Jennifer has already demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to act on priorities. Her significant nursing experience, strong communication skills and practice within an inter-professional team will be assets to stroke prevention and care as we continue to strengthen best practices and care linkages across the region.Jennifer will be working part time weekdays, will be available at ext 7135 and via her cell phone at 613-331-2355.
