In May 2017 KHSC-KGH site completed a Pilot study of Endovascular Thrombectomy (EVT) with 10 patients who met the ESCAPE trial selection criteria. From May 2016 to September 2017 the treatment was administered during weekday hours only (Monday-Friday: 0800-1600h). The completion of the Pilot informed planning for 24/7 delivery which began September 2017. For background information on the Pilot please refer to this Communiqué.
